We're delighted to offer this Award to support one winning artist build an outstanding art career.

After five years' running our professional development programme, we understand all too well that you have your own specific needs when it comes to advancing your career. Accordingly, the BSAA Award presents a menu of options, enabling you to select the support that will best support your present stage of career. 

The winner will be offered a menu of three options compiled from the BSAA programme and given a 20 minute conversation with a dedicated BSAA Team Member. This will give you an opportunity to talk through which offerings, from one-to-one support to partaking in the members' community, are the best fit. 

The Award is open to NOA17’s 130 selected artists and has a monetary value of £500.

First and foremost: ENTER THE NATIONAL OPEN ART COMPETITION 2017.

We are looking for artists who:

✓ 
Demonstrate commitment to creative practice
✓ Show professional vigour
✓ Can juggle the business and creative aspects of art practice
✓ Are action takers 
✓ Are community minded and will participate in the BSAA Community to support, learn from, and nourish their peer network


How will this Award be judged?

A panel of 3 BSAA Judges will select the winner from 130 NOA17 Shortlisted Artists. The panel will include BSAA Founder, Susan Mumford as well as one Business Specialist and one Creative Specialist.


What will happen then?

The Award winner will be announced at NOA17’s Prize Ceremony. After this, t
he winner will be invited to have a 20-minute conversation with a BSAA Team Member. During this call, the artist will gain a better understanding of career support available, and similarly, the dialogue will position the BSAA Team Member to provide recommendations to help the winner make the most of the opportunity
