Ever have internal doubts about carrying on with your art career? Get knocked by rejection and more?
National Open Art and Be Smart About Art invite you to join this participatory event to learn what you can do to carry on with confidence.
This talk for art world professionals led by Susan Mumford will visit the 21st National Open Art Exhibition to help you build confidence and find out what may be holding you back. Use this workshop to face your fears, find your power and grow your creative enterprise!
Based on a survey called CONFIDENCE for Creatives that Be Smart About Art conducted, we’ve identified internal doubts and external knocks regularly experienced, coupled by what you can do to address them. This workshop will dive into the doubts, knocks and solutions alike, accompanied by a fluid Q+A throughout the event. The aim is to give you some tools to use after the event, to support you to keep standing, building the creative career that you have within.
Susan Mumford is a game-changer in the 21st Century art world. While running a gallery in Soho, London, she founded the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD), a non-profit trade network with multiple international chapters. She subsequently started Be Smart About Art, a professional development and membership organisation that helps art world professionals thrive in a changing industry. In late 2015, her first book was published: Art is your life. Make it your living.
National Open Art is one of the UK’s leading art competitions, open to amateur and professional artists in the UK and Ireland. Now in its 21st year, this exhibition is set to be a landmark in the Competition’s history, held at the extraordinary Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf on London's South Bank and with plenty of visual treats in store.
Be Smart About Art is proud to sponsor the NOA17 Be Smart About Art Mentoring Prize.
