Do you need to send an email to your mailing list to opt-in... again? Or not?
What else does GDPR mean, anyway? (Hint: plenty!)
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), an EU directive, takes effect as of 25th May. If you hold personal data on European citizens in your enterprise (including one-person businesses), regardless of where you’re geographically located, you’re required to comply with this new legislation. We’re here to provide insight in an easy-to-digest way that is specific to small businesses in the art world.
In this webinar, BSAA Founder Susan J Mumford will take you through what this new legislation means for individuals running micro creative enterprises who can’t afford to lose a mailing list, nor have much time to spare with new legislation.
There are certainly things that need to be implemented by one-person businesses including artists, art dealers and others, and Susan will take you through a checklist of what to do immediately, as well as what to do as your enterprise develops. This workshop with Q&A is equally applicable to individuals working on their own as it is for those who bring in freelancers for exhibitions, projects (think: website, digital marketing and ongoing) and the like.
Come with your own questions at the ready, accompanied by a mindset to learn!
