Clare Burnett is a site-responsive artist, sculptor and painter based in London. She makes pared-down, abstract artworks that encourage people to engage visually and conceptually with the spaces and issues around them. In 2011, she was artist-in-residence at Leighton House Museum and staged “Folded”, a major solo show throughout the museum.
In 2012 Clare was elected Vice-President of the Royal British Society of Sculptors. Burnett also specialises in working with schools and colleges in London and the South East.
Clare studied Architecture and Law at Cambridge University, followed by Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art. She also has a PGCE from the Institute of Education. Prior to moving to England, she lived in France and Belgium.
